Nature's Dream
Most of you have noticed a big difference this season in the amount of fresh prepared foods at the market. Many of you know that the reason is the untimely and unexpected passing of Teresa Dickey
Teresa, with her husband and partner, Bill, have been mainstays at the market for 15 seasons! There aren't many of us regular market visitors who haven't at one time or another - or even every Saturday morning! - eaten some fresh foods prepared in Teresa's kitchen.
Whether it was her tomato pie, her sorely missed sticky buns and cinnamon rolls, the chicken and dumplings or artisan breads, or the special treats she would make for Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations, we all miss her kitchen creations!
Bill freely admits that the kitchen and the cooking was Teresa's abode. While he was intimately involved in the entire operation, Teresa was the cook! Bill has already sold most of his kitchen equipment, and will no longer bring prepared foods to the market.
On the other hand, Bill does have produce coming on at his farm in Clark County Indiana, and will continue to attend the market with his seasonal production.
Bill wishes to thank everyone who has mentioned their heartfelt condolences, and wants to assure everyone that he is doing OK, given the life-changing event. He only asks that you remember Teresa as you visit the market each Saturday morning!
With that thought in mind, here is a photo of Teresa at her booth last Halloween, in her costume as Mother Nature!
May she rest in peace!
